November 17, 2012

When I envisioned our wedding day, I thought about all the details I had spent months/years planning for. All of the table settings, photographer, wedding party outfits, dancing, cake etc. but there was one thing {I am embarrassed to say} I didn't spend too much time planning for...the temple.

Our wedding day was pretty chaotic, as most weddings are. We were crazy and decided to do a reception in Mapleton the night before, wedding ceremony at 9:00 AM the next morning, luncheon at 12:30 PM, and then a Kaysville reception that evening. Also, added into the mix was a bit of nausea from the bride :). Needless to say, it was an amazing day that we will treasure forever.

As Mike and I share memories of our wedding day, both of our favorite parts were the temple ceremony. The temple is sacred and I can't share too many details on this blog but together with our sealer and our family members it was an amazing sealing. I'm so grateful to be sealed to Mike forever. My eyes fill with tears thinking of that morning and how my life changed for the better.

We have now been married for a month and a half and life is pretty blissful right now. We are cherishing these moments where life is pretty simple and we both are really happy. I have heard some horror stories from friends of the first few months of marriage. I can honestly say that the reason why it has been pretty dang amazing thus far is because of Mike. He deals with my OCD-ness very well and is INCREDIBLY patient. We both laugh because we feel like we are playing house. I finally get to decorate my {our, although he could care less what it looks like, as long as it is comfortable} own apartment. I am also enjoying making home cooked meals every once in a while ;). Not sure how long that will last but Mike is lovin' it in the meantime.

Hopefully this blog will help me document our lives a little better. I probably won't post very often but every little bit counts ;).
